Love the old school look of the SQURT. All the great things of the old FDNY are there. The MACK looks amazing and love that Fire Replicas brought this beauty to life

    Well worth the wait

Posted by JoeO on 3rd Mar 2020

Knowing the Mack CF TeleSqurt was in real life a retrofit to the Squrt the detail differences are small however definitely standout. Engine 43 has the 54’ boom that looks sharp, at the tip the nozzle standout’s along with the electronic cords that move it. I noticed quickly a shield mounted near the tip, at first I thought it was a packing piece IT IS NOT! I sent a note to Mike to find out more. It was added on to the tip frame by the FDNY shops, they could not put the normal rear step shield/roof on this truck that we have seen on the regular engines. The shops did create this lexan cover to protect the guys from objects in the air, great idea. The pump panel looks awesome with the combination of discharges intakes and decal gauges. The other detail that stands out is the bell at the back of the doghouse. The air horns, and lights of this era are cool looking. I have talked about the stainless steel Mack bulldogs on the door and front of the cab being outstanding, as well as the grill lines done in stainless steel showing the perfect reproduction of the real trucks. I would recommend both the Squrt and TeleSqurt for any collection. It takes a lot longer to reproduce the classic trucks, the wait is definitely worth it.
