The details on this engine is just amazing. A nice addition to my collection of Fire Replicas models. This model look so awesome next to CFD TW 14 E One Cyclone II.

The detail on the roof of the light bar is amazing. The fans on the interior are outstanding. This is another great piece. When you look at it and remember that it’s all hand done you get even more amazed!

Although a recently retired firefighter in the United Kingdom I have fond memories of spending a night riding with the Chicago Fire Dept some years ago. That was with Engine 123, the model of which was a must have when released by Fire Replica’s. That was followed by Tower Ladder 39 and the O’Hare Squad 7 set. As with my previous Chicago Fire Replica’s models the model of E One Engine 28 is a stunning model featuring detail that amazes. Even the nozzles on the hose bed have detail that extends to the control picked out and the nozzle tip accurately coloured. And how you are able to add the “E One” logo on the siren covers on the front bumper beats me. You need a magnifying glass to be able to read it, but read it you can.

This review is based on a long look I had at the pre-production prototype. I may sound like a broken record, but Fire Replicas has another winner here. To help fill out the Chicago FD collection, here is a great model of the most recent pumpers added to the windy city – the E-One Cyclone II pumpers. I love the Chicago black over red paint scheme and Fire Replicas has executed it perfectly. The beautiful E-One grill complements the black over red scheme (especially with the neatly done gold striping). All markings are authentic and look great. We have the normal excellent fit and finish that we have come to expect from Fire Replicas. Especially well done is the pump panel, hose bed detail, ground ladders and water can. The front bumper markings and pre-plumbed hose look perfect as do the hard suction hoses. The rear of the truck is spectacular with high-viz markings and a well done secondary hose bed - all of these little details make the difference. The lighting package is perfect as well. This is a great model and is likely to sell out quickly. Remember the earlier Spartan engines from Fire Replicas sold out quickly and these may go even faster.
